Emmanuel Osei Kuffour labels himself as Ghana Premier League’s GREATEST of all time

FormerHearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko player, Emmanuel Osei Kufour has picked himself as the best player ever to have featured in the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking to Ashh FM in Kumasi, the former Ghana international indicated that
he is indeed the best player to have graced the local scene, and that is a fact accepted by every fan of the game.
“It is obvious everyone knows this and i am proud of that achievement,” he stated.
Osei Kuffour who was responding to wide range of issues indicated that he enjoyed playing for Kotoko and was always motivated by the team’s cheer song.
“I enjoyed playing for Kotoko. Their song was inspirational and it motivated me to deliver,” he added.
Osei Kufour is regarded as one of the best players to have played in the local scene, having played for Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts, AshantiGold and Kotoko.
Kuffour is remembered for expertly manning the goalpost for Ghana during a FIFA World Cup qualifying game when the Ghanaian goalkeeper was sent off. During the game Osei Boateng, the goalkeeper for Ghana, was sent off after they had exhausted all their substitutions and outfield player Emmanuel Osei Kuffour had to deputise in post for the rest of the game. He didn’t concede a goal in the match.
He was also famously featured in the Hearts of Oak squad that was used to represent the Ghana side that held a star-studded Nigeria side to a goalless draw in the reverse fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium.
He was a key member in the Hearts of Oak team that conquered Africa in 2000, 2001, and 2005 as well.
