Don’t try to compete or share in the glory of Board Members – Ex-Kotoko Management member advises Nana Yaw Amponsah

Former Asante Kotoko Management member, Solomon Ofosu-Ware has advised the club’s Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah not to compete or share in the glory of the current Board of Directors of the club.

According to him, being Board member of the Porcupine Warriors does not come with any financial benefits as seen in some clubs or corporate entities. He explained that the only benefits one derives is the ‘praise they get in public ‘.

Early Thursday morning, reports emerged that newly appointed Kotoko CEO threatened to resign following a row during a board meeting last week.

The report further indicated that Nana Yaw was ‘sacked’ from the meeting and was later recalled after questioning the activities two board members.

However, speaking on the matter, Solomon Ofosu-Ware affectionately called Chairman Solo urged Nana Yaw Amponsah to concentrate on his job as CEO.

” Don’t dare try to compete with Board Members or try to share in their glory. That will be the end of you in Asante Kotoko, they are your employers and don’t get paid as you get as the CEO. All they enjoy is the glory, ” he told Oyerepa FM.

Nana Yaw Amponsah was appointed to steer affairs of the club on August 7, 2020.

He is expected to name his management team soon.
