CK Akonnor praises Jordan Ayew for winning big at Crystal Palace’s end of season awards event
1 min readBlack Stars coach, Charles Kwablan Akonnor has praised Jordan Ayew for his success during Crystal Palace’s end of the season awards ceremony.
The Ghanaian forward swept three awards during the event for his illustrious performance in the just ended 2019/20 English Premier League season.
Ayew was adjudged as the Best Crystal Palace Player for the season as well as the Players’ Player for the Year. Ayew’s sumptuous goal against West Ham United was also adjudged as the best goal of the season.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Angel TV, Akonnor hailed the progress of the former Marselle’s forward.
“Over the years Jordan Ayew has really improved and as the Black Stars Coach I am very proud of him. Jordan’s progression has been a very good example especially for the young players,” Akonnor said on Floodlight Sports on Angel TV.
Jordan Ayew recorded 9 goals in about 39 appearances for Crystal Palace in the year under review.
