Blame Hearts Management For The Exit of Joseph Esso – Mohammed Polo
1 min readHearts Of Oak legend, Mohammed Polo has insisted that the Management Team are to be blamed for the exit of former star striker Joseph Esso.
According to him, the hierarchy of the Phobians was not proactive during the contract renewal talks with the former Ebusua Dwarfs forward.
Esso and Hearts could not extend their deal after the expiration of his three years contract. Many have criticised the Frederick Moore-led management for their inability to renew the contract of Esso.
But Mr Frederick Moore has insisted that the club did all that the could to tie down the player but he was not ready to continue.
However, Mohammed Polo believes the player did no wrong leaving the club.
“You can’t blame Esso for leaving Hearts of Oak, if the management were proactive, he would have stayed, ” he told Akoma FM.
“I disagree with anyone who says Hearts gave Esso a platform to stardom so he should have stayed, he has proven his value and so he deserved some recognition.
“You can’t blame the player, any other player would have done same, ” he concluded.
Reports in the local media indicate that Joseph Esso is close to joining Asante Kotoko. The report further revealed that he has agreed on personal terms with the Porcupine Warriors.
