Black Stars coach CK Akonnor to appear before Manhyia three-member committee

Former head coach of Asante Kotoko, Charles Kwablan Akonnor is reported to have received an invitation to appear before the constituted Manhyia three-member committee to assist in the current investigation going on in the club.
The Black Stars coach joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2018 in a three-year contract after replacing Paa Kwesi Fabin, but was sacked nine months into his contract despite guiding the club to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after ten years absence, and lifting the NC Special Tier 1 Competition.
Akonnor has received his invitation to appear before the Prof. Lydia Nkansah-led committee according to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
The committee has been given four weeks mandate to investigate the affairs of the Ghanaian giants after the club was hit with so much judgment debt.
Other members of the ad-hoc Committee include Mr. Kofi Owusu – a Registrar of the Ashanti Regional House of Chiefs ad Lawrence Bruce Kyei Esq. – a private legal practitioner.
They have 11 days left to complete their mandate, and send their report to the life patron of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
