Benjamin Afutu was the best player before the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season was suspended – Richmond Ayi

Hearts Of Oak goalkeeper, Richmond Ayi says teammate Benjamin Afutu Kotey was the best player in the 2019-20 Ghana Premier League season before it was suspended.

The top-flight as well as the lower Divisions leagues were put on hold due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The League had then reached week 15.

“Benjamin Afutu is the player that should be awarded if the league is to be restarted for a new season looking at his contribution for us (Hearts of Oak), he was all over before the league was halted,” he told Kumasi-based Wontumi Radio.

“Although Yahaya, Victorien and some crop of players were scoring BUT for a striker to score it must come from the back before it can reach to them.”
