Asante Kotoko has officially confirmed the acquisition of the highly-regarded defender Yussif Nurudeen Mohammed.
The promising young center-back has committed to a three-year contract with Asante Kotoko following the successful completion of his mandatory medical assessment.
Nurudeen Mohammed’s transition to the former Ghana Premier League champions comes after his tenure with RTU came to an end.
His time at RTU was marked by an exceptional season, during which he participated in 32 matches and earned the title of man of the match on three occasions.
Bringing with him a combination of remarkable athleticism, experience, and a notably clean disciplinary record, Nurudeen Mohammed managed to avoid receiving any bookings throughout the entirety of the previous season’s campaign.
His name is now added to the growing list of RTU players who have left the club during the ongoing transfer window, a list that also includes Sadat Mohammed.
The departure of these two players contributes to a total of nine individuals who have chosen to depart the club in pursuit of advancing their careers elsewhere.
This roster of departing players encompasses Yaw Osei, Kwame Boakye, Manaf Umar, Issah Kuka, Roland Frimpong, Stephen Badu Dankwah, and Mathew Abayase.
