1 min read

Annor Walker, an experienced Ghanaian coach, is poised to become the new head coach of Hearts of Oak following his departure from FC Samartex 1996.

Under Walker’s guidance, the newly promoted Ghana Premier League side, FC Samartex 1996, finished in 10th place with 46 points.

Multiple sources indicate that the former Berekum Chelsea manager is on the verge of being appointed as the head coach of Hearts of Oak for the upcoming 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.

It is expected that Walker will sign a two-year contract with the renowned club.

Earlier, FC Samartex 1996 secured the services of Annor Walker ahead of the 2022/23 season after a dispute with Great Olympics over his signing.

Despite having one year left on his contract with Samartex, Walker has left the team. He is anticipated to revitalize the Phobian Club after their disappointing 12th-place finish with 46 points in the 2022/23 season.

Furthermore, Annor Walker has previously served as the head coach of the Black Galaxies.
