Allow Nana Yaw Amponsah to appoint his own Management Team – Otumfuo Mpaboahene Nana Yaw Owusu

Former Asante Kotoko management member, Nana Yaw Owusu has warned the Board of Directors of the Reds against any form of interference with regard to the appointment of management members by new Chief Executive Officer Nana Yaw Amponsah.

According to him, the newly appointed CEO of the club should be allowed to appoint personalities he will be comfortable with so as to evaluate him fairly if he fails to deliver the target set for him.

The 2019 Ghana FA presidential election candidate was last Friday unveiled as the new Chief Executive Officer of the Porcupine Warriors. He is expected to name his management team soon.

Nana Yaw Owusu – the current Otumfuo Mpaboahene indicated that it will not be appropriate to force personnel on him, having been tasked by the same board to help rediscover the club’s glory days.

”The Board of Directors put in place by Otumfour knows what is right and that’s why they went through a required process to appoint Nana Yaw Amponsah as the Chief Executive Officer of the club,” he told Kumasi-based Hello FM.

”So I don’t expect the Board to interfere in his appointments. I think he should be allowed to appoint his own management team. That’s how a corporate body works.

”He should be allowed to select his own personnel he will be comfortable working with, with approval of the Board of Directors.

”I believe he should appoint his own management members with the approval of the Board that’s how it is done professionally.

”If you force some personalities on him, you can’t blame him if he fails at the end of his term of office.

”It’s good we allow him to appoint his personnel so that He can be Held responsible If he fails to deliver, but I know and believe he will be successful,” he concluded.
