Emmanuel Yeboah, the forward for Brøndby IF, is being considered for a potential call-up to the Black Stars squad in preparation for their upcoming match against the Central African Republic (CAR).
Having made an impression during the U23 AFCON tournament in Morocco, the former CFR Cluj player has caught the eye of Black Stars coach Chris Hughton.
Hughton is expected to announce his squad for the crucial AFCON qualifier against CAR, and there is speculation that Yeboah could earn his first-ever call-up.
The Black Stars’ decisive qualifying match is set to be held at the Baba Yara Stadium on September 7, with both teams vying for a place in the tournament scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast in January 2024. Ghana only needs a single point to secure qualification.
Known as ’99 Ideas,’ Yeboah recently completed a transfer to Brøndby IF following his outstanding performances for CFR Cluj and the Black Meteors.
This highly-rated attacker gained recognition for his exceptional display during the AFCON U23 tournament, despite the Black Meteors’ less-than-ideal performance, in which Morocco emerged as champions. Yeboah managed to shine by scoring three goals in three games.
