“Ɔpemsoɔ has spoken so we will not go against his words” – Asante Kotoko Ag. CEO Joseph Yaw Adu on new signings for Africa

Acting Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Joseph Yaw Adu has revealed that the club will not decide against Otumfuo Osei Tutu II’s ban on recruiting new players into the club.
The Life Patron of the club, Asantehene placed an embargo on player sightings for one football season last month during the inauguration of the new board members of the club.

While others have hailed Otumfuo’s decision, a section of the football fraternity has spoken against such practice.
The Ghana Football Association Executive Council approved recently for Kotoko to represent Ghana in next season’s Caf Champions League, and many believe there will be the need to augment the team’s squad.
But Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu, a former Sports Director of University of Science and Technology has insisted that, the club will not go against the team owner’s words.
“Ɔpemsoɔ has spoken so we will not go against his words,” Asante Kotoko acting CEO Mr. Joseph Yaw Adu told Sikka FM.
He also disclosed that the Porcupine Warriors are yet to receive an official communique on their approval to compete in Africa next season.
